Edgecore Networks and Danalto Announce Strategic Partnership to Integrate UWB with Enterprise Wi-Fi Solutions
Edgecore Networks, a leader in innovative network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, today announced a strategic partnership with Danalto, an Ireland-based company specializing in ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning technologies. Together, the two companies will collaborate to integrate UWB capabilities into enterprise-grade Wi-Fi environments, delivering high-precision and scalable indoor location and asset tracking solutions for a wide range of IoT applications.
As IoT deployments grow more varied and complex, Edgecore continues to focus on developing a flexible and robust multi-protocol access platform. Following the 2024 launch of the EAP112 — a flagship access point integrating Wi-Fi HaLow, Matter, and Thread — Edgecore is taking the next step by teaming up with Danalto to co-develop UWB-powered solutions.
The collaboration begins by integrating Danalto’s UWB dongle into Edgecore Wi-Fi access points equipped with USB interfaces, such as the EAP102. Going forward, the two companies plan to deeply integrate Danalto’s UWB modules and software into Edgecore’s APs, paving the way for a wider range of USB-enabled solutions to meet growing demand for location and sensor-based services.
Beyond hardware integration, the partnership will also extend to cloud-based application enablement. Through Edgecore’s ecCLOUD and CloudSDK platforms, users will be able to easily activate Danalto’s UWB services — such as indoor positioning — without requiring complex infrastructure, accelerating deployment and simplifying operations.
