Dublin, Ireland, 20th of January, 2022 – danalto continues to lead the way to innovation success, recently qualifying as a finalist in the IT & Fintech category of The Irish Times Innovation Awards 2021.
Leaders in their field, danalto has been nominated for their positioning intelligence solution, FiLo, which has been designed to enable asset and personnel location services across wide open areas using LoRa 2.4GHz technology.
David McDonald, danalto CEO, said: “We are delighted to be recognized for our innovation. This product is a disruptor to the current positioning intelligence industry, and we are excited to be at the cutting edge.”
The first of its kind, FiLo is able to determine device locations within 5 metres of accuracy across areas as large as 5km2, all with significantly less power and infrastructure than other solutions on the market today. FiLo is also globally deployable, as it operates in the Wi-Fi band, ensuring a promising growth potential: “We see this being adopted for operational and safety use cases alike, across many industries worldwide including Mining, Automotive, Construction, Oil & Gas, and Logistics, to name a few.”
The Irish Times Innovation Awards aim to recognise and promote the best service, product, or operational innovations throughout the island. The finalists were selected by an independent panel of judges to secure a place at the final and a chance to win the overall ‘Innovation of the Year’ award as well as a unique and high profile communications and advertising package worth €100,000. Category Winners will receive a €10,000 communications package in Business+Innovation and a one year premium digital subscription to The Irish Times.
